What is the future of opioids?
The Journal of Opioid Management invites submissions for a special issue exploring the future of opioids from diverse perspectives.
In light of the evolving landscape of opioid use and management, we seek contributions that offer insights into the trajectory of opioid-related research, clinical practice, and public health strategies over the next 2 years, 5 years, and 10 years. Authors are encouraged to examine the past and present paradigms of opioid use, incorporating insights from current clinical trials and advancements in opioid pharmacology, to provide forward-looking perspectives on the future of opioids.
This special issue aims to foster dialogue and critical analysis regarding the future directions of opioid management in the context of changing societal, clinical, and regulatory dynamics. We welcome original research articles, clinical reports, systematic reviews, meta-analyses, opinion pieces, and policy analyses that anticipate and address the challenges and opportunities associated with opioid use and misuse prevention, pain management and harm reduction strategies, opioid addiction treatment modalities, legal and regulatory frameworks.
Authors are encouraged to explore innovative approaches, emerging technologies, and novel interventions that have the potential to shape the future landscape of opioid management. Submissions should emphasize evidence-based insights, draw upon current clinical evidence and trial data, and propose actionable recommendations for clinicians, researchers, policymakers, and stakeholders invested in optimizing opioid therapy and mitigating opioid-related harms. Join us in envisioning the future of opioids and advancing our collective understanding of opioid management in the years to come.
