Abstract

The Journal of Emergency Management Editorial Review Board invites the submission of Papers and Case
Studies supporting a special issue Higher Education in Emergency Management—Pathways to Professional
Excellence in a Demanding Career. Our goal is to support the growth and professionalization of emergency management
and provide a reference work that can be utilized by those in the field and those considering entering.
Expanding on the success of our past special issues, this unique edition will present an educational roadmap as it applies
to both post secondary school students looking at emergency management as a career and emergency managers and others
looking to extend their education in this complex, challenging and highly rewarding field.
